SPARC is an Aladdins Cave of recycled materials. We are a collection and distribution point for non-toxic scrap materials suitable for use in children's play. eg. wood, cloth, metal, plastics are safe and non-toxic. The materials come from local industry, shops and homes.
The scrap store has now moved to Totnes Industrial Estate.
To encourage the use of bags other than the plastic, disposable type, we will continue to charge
£1.25 if you bring your own 'long-life' bag, basket or rucksack of similar
size to the carrier and £1.50 if you use a carrier bag.
Friendly advice is available and if you have a specific project in mind please ask. Organisers of one-off events - festivals, carnivals, workshops, etc., are very welcome.
Larger quantities of scrap and art materials can be obtained with prior warning.
Donations of 'Scrap'
We very much appreciate individual donations of materials for recycling. However, please give us the opportunity to refuse some things due to storage problems or an excess already in the store.
