South Devon Play Resource Centre Ltd.

 Welcome to All !

South Devon Play Resource Centre Ltd is a community based charity and company limited by guarantee. SPARC has been operating in Dartington since 1996, and provides a wealth of skills, experience, equipment and resources to all our users. We have over 450 members, representing over 4000 users in South Hams, Teignbridge, Torbay, Exeter and Plymouth. We have two, part-time employees, several freelance workers and many regular volunteers.

We promote the 4 R's:

Reduce Reuse Recycle Recreate!!

Here in Dartington we run a family-friendly Scrapstore, open to all, where we have clean non-toxic waste materials for use in play, available at a low cost to the public.

We hire out fantastic Resources, from badge machines to multicultural boxes.

We also have a beautiful Workshop space with a regular programme of workshops and courses in a variety of subjects - from chair making to drumming.

We have just published our first book!! The Recyclopaedia - an A-Z of creative projects to make from scrap!

Directions to SPARC

Take the A384 from Totnes heading for Dartington.  At the roundabout at Dartington, bear right.  The Cider Press Centre will be on your right, Dartington School on your left.  Next you will come to a mini roundabout; go straight across and take the next right onto the Dartington Estate (St Mary's Church is on the corner).  Go past the left turning to the Schumacher College and take the next left to get to us, signposted South Devon Play Resource Centre Limited (SPARC).  We look forward to seeing you.

During August we will have restricted opening hours

We Close for Bank Holiday Weekends
both the Saturday and Monday
hence we will be closed Monday 25th August
