Welcome to SPARC!

SPARC is an Aladdin's Cave of recycled materials. We are a collection and distribution point for non-toxic scrap materials suitable for use in children's play. eg. wood, cloth, metal, plastics are safe and non-toxic. The materials come from local industry, shops and homes. A standard carrier bag of scrap costs only £1.50.

Our normal opening hours are

Monday         9.00 - 3.00
Tuesday         9.00 - 3.00
Thursday       9.00 - 6.00
    Saturday       10.00 - 12.00
we close for bank holiday weekends
both the Saturday and Monday

During August we have restricted opening hours
Monday         10.00 - 1.00
Tuesday        10.00 - 1.00
Thursday       10.00 - 1.00
and will be closed for the bank holiday Monday 25^th August

Friendly advice is available and if you have a specific project in mind please ask. Organisers of one-off events - festivals, carnivals, workshops, etc., are very welcome.

Larger quantities of scrap and art materials can be obtained with prior warning.

Donations of 'Scrap'

We very much appreciate individual donations of materials for recycling. However, please give us the opportunity to refuse some things due to storage problems or an excess already in the store.
